Fishing On Missouri Lakes

Truman Lake located in just outside of Clinton Missouri, is truly a great fishing lake if you like to crappie fish. Crappie range from one pound or larger, and can be found in isolated beds along channels, and along the bluffs.

You can catch bass in 2 to 8 foot of water using top water baits, and you can catch catfish with cut baits. If you are looking to catch white bass, fishing in areas with about 10 foot of water is best, using rattle traps, rooster tails, and crank baits. Tournaments are being held on Truman for those anglers that are interested in challenging others for big fish and big crappie.

If you are interested in fishing on Truman Lake, there is a resort called "Bucksaw", that has great accommodations. Truman lake offers fishing, camping, boating, swimming, and hiking, and it is considered to be the best cat fishing lake in the state of Missouri.
