Tips for Living Life to the Fullest and Aging Well

Everyone wants to hold on to their youth, and many people are becoming very interested in longevity and aging. Aging consists of the slow weakening of your bodies building blocks, and the gradual decline of our bodies repair process. If you want to slow down the aging process, here are a few things that you might take to heart.

Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits which are antioxidants that help with the bodies aging process. Watch your calorie intake. It is healthier to eat six smaller meals a day than to load up until you feel as though you are going to bust. Include vitamin C in your daily diet and get plenty of exercise. Exercise increases your hormone levels, and exercise is the least expensive way to balance your hormone levels. The older we get the more exercise that our body needs to remain healthy. Taking vitamin C helps to reduce wrinkles, protects against free radical damage, and it vital to our immune function. It can also help to lower blood pressure.

Get plenty of sleep, and try to stick with a regular time to go to bed each night. You typically need six to eight hours of restful sleep. Wind down before you go to bed. If you are angry or are stressed out, find a quiet place and inhale deeply. Deep breathing helps to relax the mind and body, and you will get a much better sleep. Visualize something in your mind that brings peaceful thoughts like a loved one, or a favorite place that you enjoy going to. This will help ease the stressful thoughts and help you to refocus your thoughts on something more pleasant. Doing this will help you get a much better nights rest.
